15/12/2023 – Update and dates for next week

Good morning,

I hope you are all ready for the weekend and getting ready for Christmas.

It has been a very festive week in school and the ‘I Spy Christmas’ nativity, Nursery Christmas songs and ‘Hey Ewe’ nativity were all fantastic. The pupils have really enjoyed the performance, thank you to all the staff for their hard work in making these events very special and thank you all for being a fantastic audience. Taking pictures and video is  really important in capturing these special moments. Please remember not to share or post images of other people’s children as you could put children and their families at risk of harm.

Our choir is performing this evening at Norfolk square at 5:30pm and you are all welcome to join in the festive celebrations with St James’ Church.

Lates and signing children in

The doors close and the register is completed at 8:55am so learning can start . If pupils arrive after this time parents/guardians are required to bring the pupils to the office and to sign them in on our online system. This supports both our administrative, health and safety and safeguarding arrangements for pupil registration.  The system is very straightforward and the school office will provide any assistance required.

Conduct in school

The governors and I take the welfare and well being of all of our staff, pupils and parents very seriously. Unacceptable conduct toward toward staff, pupils or other parents will not be tolerated and action will be taken as necessary.

We always strive to support resolve any issues in the best way and if you have any concerns at all, please contact the best person to answer your query. If there are school related issues with other children or parents, please contact me and don’t contact parents directly.

Have a great weekend.

Mr Woodward
