Update, industrial action and events for W/C 27/02/2023

Good afternoon,

This half term has gone by very quickly, everyone has worked really hard and I know many are ready for half term. We have had an Ofsted inspection for the after school club and our SIAMS inspection as we are a church school. The reports for both inspections will be released in the next few weeks.

Industrial action on Wednesday 1st March

Members of the NEU union will be go on strike on Wednesday 1st March and the following classes will be closed.

  • Miss Taylor and Mrs Lockett’s will be closed.  If there are any further closures, you will be notified straight away. Please be aware that teachers don’t need to notify schools if they intend to go on strike and classes may need to be closed on the day of industrial action. Our teachers have stated that they will give as much notice as possible to our families.
    • For all the other classes, it is a normal school day and pupils must be in school.
    • Mr Hannan’s class will remain open.
  • No work will be set for the pupils not in school.
  • If your child’s(ren’s) class is closed and they are entitled to free school meals, they are entitled to a packed lunch which can be picked up from school. Please fill out the form below before Monday.
