What do the PTA raise money for?
The PTA long term goal, which will have a truly massive impact on teaching and learning, is to raise money for a class set of iPads. We are are aiming to raise enough money for 34 iPads and cases (which is a class set – with a couple of spares!) and a trolley. This is will be about £3.7K per year – ongoing costs.
The PTA also raises funds to provide each child with a Christmas present every year. In the most recent years, this has been a high quality reading or picture book, which supports the reading for pleasure culture in school.
The PTA also raises money to subsidise school trips, provide enhancements to teaching and learning and other funds to improve the school. The PTA and School Parliament has bought some benches recently to improve the outdoor areas.
